Nonprofit Sidekick is excited to announce its partnership with Leadership Washington County!

Did you know that Wendy and Steph met through this community leadership organization in 2020? Then, Wendy met Katie Unger-Chipps, the Executive Director of LWC, while facilitating her Boot Camp workshop at the Bayer Center several years ago. Katie saw the value of Wendy’s workshop, knowledge, and focus on nonprofit leadership. Together, we all recognized a need to connect, educate and align amazing leaders within our community to strengthen nonprofits’ involvement or identify board members to support and advocate.

Since 2012, Steph has been the leadership class facilitator for Leadership Washington County, leveraging the CliftonStrengths assessment to help community leaders bring their innate talents into focus and strategically align them to their work and community involvement. Wendy has been a consistent speaker throughout the last two years, educating the leaders about leading in the nonprofit space and how to get involved as a board member or volunteer.

Our partnership is about enhancing the program to provide a balance between nonprofit and for-profit leadership. We broaden our perspective of all the great organizations servicing and supporting our community, how we engage and get involved, and how to best advocate for our communities to thrive. Everyone wins when leaders get involved strategically and know where they can best contribute. You can also see how lasting and powerful partnerships are formed through Leadership Washington County.

We can’t wait to meet our newest cohort starting on September 20th at the CNX Center at Southpointe!
